I am a mom to one very active
teenage son, Harrison, and have been married to my husband, Matthew, for
nearly
15 years. I am currently attending the Virginia School
of Traditional Midwifery.
I have been interested in and
reading about midwifery for ten years and actively studying midwifery
with the Midwifery
Study group for the last year. I am CPR
certified. I attended the “Women helping Women”
retreat at Sacred
Mountain Midwifery School in WV in 2009.
I recently started attending
births as a doula and I am excited about joining the HBMS team at home
births in
that capacity. My dream is to become a Certified Professional Midwife.
In
midwifery and serving women in labor and childbirth I have found my joy,
and my
heart’s home.
