Activities to AVOID while Pregnant
These MAY seem obvious to you...
but nevertheless... your Midwives
advise you
to AVOID engaging in
unhealthy & dangerous activities
while you are
pregnant.
Choosing to engage in these & other dangerous activities increases your
risk factors and can
harm both
YOUR & YOUR BABY'S health:
:: AVOID :: AVOID :: AVOID ::
- Smoking ANYTHING;
- Chewing tobacco;
- Caffeine & other stimulants;
- Chemicals, Inhalants, Toxins;
- Drinking ALCOHOLIC beverages;
- Doing recreational, illegal or street drugs;
- OTC (over-the-counter) and/or Rx (prescription) drugs/medications without advice;
- Herbs and herbal products or other treatments or remedies without advice;
- Hot tubs, saunas, stream rooms;
- Over-exertion, excessive/aggressive exercise;
- Contact sports & upside-down moves or positions;
- Horseback riding, snow & water skiing;
- Scuba diving, para-sailing & sky-diving;
- Long or extended periods of immobility: sitting, standing or driving;
- Unnecessary or non-medically indicated Ultrasound Scans & 'Fun' Scans.
- No X-Rays, MRIs, CT or Security Scans unless medically necessary.
